A minibus driver has died in a road crash in Co Limerick in the early hours of this morning.
The man, who was aged in his 30s, died after the bus he was driving struck the Athlunkard Bridge on the Corbally Road at around 2.55am.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time.
The man's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
The R463 at Athlunkard Bridge, Corbally, is closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling on the R463 between 2.30am and 3.30am, to contact Henry Street Garda station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
