Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run which claimed the life of a 67-year-old woman last month.
Carol Seery, from Finglas in Dublin, died after she was hit by a speeding car which failed to stop as she crossed a road in Phibsborough on the night of Wednesday 4 October.
She had been out for a family meal.
Gardaí from Mountjoy arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
Investigations are ongoing.
