Gardaí in Cork are continuing to question a woman they arrested earlier today as part of their investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in a car park near Cork Airport yesterday.
The man, who is understood to be a Ukrainian national in his 40s, was discovered in an unresponsive state near a car parked in the grounds of the Cork Airport Hotel.
The man was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The immediate area and the car were cordoned off and a forensic and technical examination was carried out.
Later, the car was removed from the scene for further tests.
A post-mortem examination on the body of the deceased was scheduled to take place this afternoon.
Investigating gardaí at Togher say the nature of their investigation will be guided by the findings of the autopsy.
Meanwhile, gardaí are continuing to question a woman they arrested locally earlier today.
The woman in her 40s is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
