An Irish man who was injured in a motorbike crash in Vietnam at the end of April has died.
Damien Horgan, from Doneraile in Co Cork, had been in critical care at the Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh after he was seriously injured in the crash.
He had been working as an English teacher in Vietnam for the last four years.
A GoFundMe, which was organised to pay for medical treatment in Vietnam, had raised over €115,000.
In recent days Mr Horgan's sister had updated the page to say his condition had deteriorated due to several complications.
In a statement on the page today, the family said: "The outpouring of love and support we have received has just been unbelievable.
"Old friends, new friends and everyone in between have shown us so much love and support from every corner of the earth."
They added: "He was a witty, smart but gentle person. He will live on in us for the rest of our days."
