There are calls for the remuneration package of Patrick Kielty - who is to replace Ryan Tubridy as presenter of RTÉ's The Late Late Show from September - to be made public.
Labour Senator Marie Sherlock told RTÉ's Drivetime that "it is vital" for confidence in the broadcaster that "all the parts of that package are made public".
On the same programme, Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley said that RTÉ has "no choice" but to make the details of the agreement known.
The calls come after a member of the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee also said that "RTÉ must outline how much it is paying Patrick Kielty to present The Late Late Show".
Fine Gael TD Colm Burke said the broadcaster must be fully open and transparent.
"It is a call that might not be well received by some of the senior management at RTÉ, but they brought this fully on themselves," Deputy Burke said.
"They have nobody to blame for this mess other than their own decisions and inaction in failing to provide a clear account of the financial practices that took place.
"Everything is on the table this week [at a PAC meeting on Thursday] and that includes the pay deal struck this year with Mr Kielty.
"Taxpayers deserve the full truth," Mr Burke added.

The RTÉ Board said last week that, between 2017 and 2022, Mr Tubridy received a series of payments totalling €345,000 above his annual published salary.
Patrick Kielty was confirmed last month as the next presenter of The Late Late Show.
Speaking after the announcement, the 52-year-old, from Dundrum in Co Down, said he could not wait to get started "on one of the greatest jobs on television".
