Around 200 employees at RTÉ joined a protest organised by the National Union of Journalists to air their frustration following revelations of undisclosed payments to Ryan Tubridy.

Chair of the NUJ's Dublin broadcasting branch Emma O Kelly addressed the crowd and described the situation as unbelievable.

She said while they welcome an external review she added that they already know the culture of the organisation and have been at the receiving end of it for "too long".
"And when I say the receiving end, I don’t mean the end of all the money. Not that receiving end."
She also highlighted what she said the lack of resources available across the organisation.
A number of other union officials and RTÉ staff members also addressed the crowd.
The protest ended with a chant of "what do we want?" with the crowd replying: "Answers".
