A ceremony to mark the 107th anniversary of the Easter Rising has taken place on O'Connell Street in Dublin.
At midday, the Irish flag on top of the GPO was lowered and the 1916 Proclamation was read by Captain Austin Doyle from the Defence Forces.
The event was led by President Michael D Higgins, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, and Tánaiste and Minister for Defence Micheál Martin.
Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald was accompanied by the party's leader in Northern Ireland Michelle O'Neill.
The President laid a wreath to commemorate those who died and a minute's silence was observed.
Relatives of those who took part in the Easter Rising attended the ceremony.
