A 19-year-old man, who was seriously assaulted in Swords on Thursday night has died in hospital.
Marius Mamaliga was left in a critical condition following the incident on Brookdale Avenue and was being treated for his injuries at Beaumont Hospital.
A 20-year-old Dublin man appeared before Dublin District Court yesterday charged with assault causing serious harm.
Brandon Gavin, from Brookdale Road in Swords, was remanded in custody with consent to bail on condition he sign on three times a week at Swords Garda station, stay in touch with the gardaí and have no contact with the injured party.
He will appear again in court on 1 March.
