A 22-year-old woman has died and two other people have been injured following a single vehicle collision in Co Mayo.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after the car she was driving left the road and hit a ditch at Corlough West in Béal an Mhuirthead at around 9.15pm last night.
Her body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
A man and a woman, both in their early 20s and who were passengers in the car, were taken to MUH with non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users with camera footage (including dash cam) to contact Belmullet Garda Station on 097 81910, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
The road where the crash occurred is closed and local diversions are in place.
