Parcel Motel is to close in Ireland at the end of this month. The company said it "will cease to exist" and lockers in locations across the country will no longer be operational from the 31st of January.
"Following an extensive consultation period, we have taken the difficult decision to cease Parcel Motel services," UPS, who operate the Parcel Motel business in Ireland, said in a statement.
An email to customers added that the company are communicating with impacted customers to redirect shipments through other logistics networks.
"We value our people and are continuing our efforts to find new roles in other areas of the business for those employees who are affected to minimise redundancies," UPS said.
In an email sent to customers UPS outlined a number of dates for people expecting deliveries, or sending parcels with the service.
"The 22nd of January is the last day to send a parcel to another member of Parcel Motel. The 25th of January is the last day to send a parcel to an address or make a return and the 27th of January is the last day for Irish Virtual Address check in."
