Flogas has become the first electricity and gas company to launch competitive 12-month fixed rates to new and existing domestic customers in 2023.
It is the company's first fixed rate in several years and the first in the marketplace for three years.
General Manager Sean O'Loughlin said the rates were launched "to provide customers with twelve months of certainty in what has been an extremely volatile marketplace to date", adding that they will be "constantly reviewed".
The Flogas winter warmer fixed rate for electricity offers 100% green electricity at a fixed rate for one year, plus a welcome bonus of €150.
The annual cost for the average domestic customer is €2036.02 once the bonus is taken into account. This is based on an average domestic household consumption of 4,200 kWh (CRU).
On the natural gas side, the Flogas winter warmer fixed rate for natural gas for one year offers green gas* and a €150 welcome bonus. The annual cost is €1638.12 once the bonus is taken into account. This is based on an average domestic household consumption of 11,000 kWh gas (CRU).
The Flogas dual fuel fixed rate is €3,674 a year when the €300 welcome bonus is included, again based on average household consumption (CRU).
According to several price comparison sites, the fixed rate offers are currently the number one offer in the marketplace for dual fuel, number three for electricity and number one for natural gas.
