Met Éireann has warned of flooding tomorrow as it issued a Status Orange rain warning for three counties and a Status Yellow warning for the rest of the country.

The Status Orange warning is for counties Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow. It will be valid from 7am until noon tomorrow.

Met Éireann said "some very intense falls of rain are possible".

A Status Yellow warning will come into effect at 3am and will last until 8pm tomorrow night.

The forecaster said there will be a wet start to the day tomorrow with heavy or thundery rain, especially in the southeast, along with fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly winds.

"Outbreaks of rain will continue across most places into the afternoon with further flooding expected."

A Status Yellow weather warning is also in place for Northern Ireland. It is valid from 6am until midnight.

The UK Met Office has warned that "heavy rain is likely to cause some disruption to travel" tomorrow.
