The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is providing consular assistance to the family of an Irish woman who has died while hiking on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
The woman, who was in her 70s, is reported to have fallen around 10m on a mountain on a popular hiking route on the island.
A Guardia Civil helicopter was sent to the area to give assistance, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
