An Garda Síochána has announced its traffic management plan for the National Ploughing Championships, where more than 80,000 people are expected to attend on each of its three days.
The event takes place in Ratheniska, Co Laois from tomorrow until Thursday.
Those travelling to the championships are urged to avoid using satellite navigation and to view the traffic plan on the garda or the National Ploughing Association websites for the correct route to take, depending where the journey starts.
Traffic from the southeast/Carlow should follow the yellow route, traffic from Dublin, Leinster and the north should follow the purple route and traffic from the southeast/Kilkenny should follow the grey route.
Those travelling from the west and northwest should follow the green route, while those coming from Limerick, Kerry and the southwest should following the brown route.
Traffic from Cork and elsewhere in Munster should follow the blue route.
The National Ploughing Championships will take place in Ratheniska, Co Laois from the 20th - 22nd September.

Gardaí are urging road users not attending the championships to avoid the N80 at Stradbally and all approach roads to Ratheniska village from tomorrow at 6am until 8pm on Thursday.
