A man has died after getting into difficulty in the River Barrow in Co Carlow last night.
The incident took place at Graiguecullen at around 9.20pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was brought to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem will take place.
Gardaí say they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
