Two return Aer Lingus flights from Dublin have been cancelled due to what the airline termed "a spike in Covid cases", while a return flight to the United States has been cancelled due to a technical issue.
The airline said flights from Dublin to Frankfurt and Prague today have been cancelled due to Covid-19, and a flight to Philadelphia was cancelled due to a technical issue.
The airline has been forced to cancel a range of flights in recent weeks as operators and airports contend with staffing issues amid a surge in Covid illness and a rebound in air travel.
However in a statement, Aer Lingus said just over 1% of their flights have been impacted by cancellations in June and July.
The company said they are working to re-accommodate passengers "on the next available services as efficiently as possible".
Passengers will be contacted directly by the airline.
Yesterday return flights from Dublin and Knock to London Gatwick were cancelled due to Covid-19.
A return flight to Amsterdam from Dublin was also cancelled due to a mandate by Schipol Airport setting a cap on the number of passengers it will handle during the summer.
