The latest homeless figures have shown another monthly increase with nearly 9,500 people in emergency accommodation.
The figures set a new record for the number of adults in emergency accommodation while the number of children is up nearly 18% over the previous 12 months.
Altogether there were a total of 9,492, men, women and children homeless in February.
That is up by 238 or 3.6% on January and an increase of 14% on February last year.
There were 6,825 homeless adults which is the highest figure ever recorded.
The number of children was 2,666 up 4% on January and 17.8% year on year.
The total for February is within 9.7% of the highest ever overall figure of 10,514 recorded in October 2019.
