The winning ticket for tonight's €30,928,078 EuroMillions jackpot was sold in Ireland, the National Lottery has said.

The winning numbers were 13, 18, 38, 42 and 45 and the lucky stars were 7 and 11.

The result was announced by the National Lottery on Twitter.

There has been no indication yet where in the country the winning ticket was purchased.

It is the latest in a long line of Irish jackpot wins since the game began in 2004.

A Dublin woman, who chose to remain private, won €49.5m in July 2020.

There have been a number of 'smaller' EuroMillion wins, including in February 2020 when a €17m jackpot was won in Co Mayo, while Irish players have also won major jackpots.

Dolores McNamara from Limerick was Ireland's first EuroMillions winner in 2005, collecting over €115m.

In June 2013, a winning ticket for a massive €187m jackpot was sold in Beaumont, Dublin. The Dublin winner shared the jackpot with another player, so picked up over €93m.

Carlow became home to a winning ticket in January 2016, when a syndicate of friends won over €66m, splitting the jackpot of €132,376,632.

In February 2019, a family syndicate from Naul, Co Dublin, won €175.4m on a ticket sold in Reilly's Daybreak in the village.

Apart from Ireland, EuroMillions tickets can be bought in Austria, Belgium, Britain, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
