Organisers of some of Ireland's most popular events have announced they will be returning this year.
The Interim Director of Dublin’s St Patrick's Festival said that "all going well", the parade will be back this year.
Anna McGowan said that the Dublin parade takes up to 18 months to plan and that background plans have been in place for the last number of months in anticipation of this happening.
"We have 13 bands, some of them international, some of them Irish, we've got pageant companies working hard on this incredible content, we've got our grandstand tickets on sale so, yeah, it's full steam ahead," she said.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Ms McGowan said everyone was blown away at the engagement with the digital programme last year and said it is important to continue with that this year.
Ms McGowan said that the digital platform obliterates boundaries and geography and allows the festival to reach out internationally.
She added that many people will not feel comfortable in crowds this year and the digital programme will allow them to engage.
Meanwhile, the National Ploughing Association Assistant Managing Director said the trade portal for the 2022 Ploughing Championships will open in March.
