A ten-year-old boy has died following an incident involving a quad bike in Co Laois.
The incident occurred at 11am on Wednesday in the Dooary area of Ballyroan.
The boy was airlifted by ambulance helicopter from Ballyroan GAA grounds to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin, where he died of his injuries last night.
Gardaí said investigations are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
