A teenager has been arrested in connection with the road crash that killed cyclist Thiago Cortes in Dublin in August.

He is being held at Store Street Garda Station.

Mr Cortes died after he was knocked off his bike in the North Wall Quay area on 31 August.

The 28-year-old, who was originally from Brazil, had just delivered food in the north inner city.

He cycled out on to the north Liffey quays, when he was hit by a car that failed to remain at the scene.

Mr Cortes died in the Mater Hospital on 2 September.
