'Corrosive substance' thrown in man's face in Limerick

A man has been treated in hospital after what is believed to have been a corrosive substance was thrown in his face in Limerick.

The incident happened on Tuesday night at a house in the Garryowen area.

The injured man presented himself to University Hospital Limerick for treatment and was later discharged.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s this morning.

He is being questioned at Henry Street Garda Station.
