A taxi driver has been injured in a shooting in Drogheda, Co Louth.
The incident happened on the Bridge of Peace shortly after 6.20pm.
A number of shots were fired at a taxi from a car that was then driven from the scene.
The taxi driver, who is understood to be in his late 30s, was not the intended target.
He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
It is understood the intended target was a front seat passenger in the taxi and is a key figure in the Drogheda feud.
A woman travelling in the back of the car also escaped uninjured.
A Volkswagen Golf, believed to have been used during the shooting, was found burnt out near the Ballymascanlan roundabout in Dundalk.
Gardaí have sealed off the area pending a technical examination.
