Gardaí investigating the ongoing feud in Coolock, in which five men have been shot dead this year, have arrested a man.

The 46-year-old has been charged with firearms offences and is due in court tomorrow.

He was arrested in connection with a foiled gun attack on 14 September this year.

Armed officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped two cars that day in Artane.

They arrested three men and seized a loaded gun.

Another man is currently before the courts in connection with the incident.

The 46-year-old in custody is well known to gardaí for links to the Kinahan organised crime gang and has lost a close relative in the feud.

He is due before the Dublin District Court tomorrow morning.
