On the 19th anniversary of his disappearance, gardaí have issued a renewed appeal for information on Trevor Deely.

The 22-year-old went missing in the early hours of 8 December 2000.

Mr Deely had been at his work Christmas party at the Hilton Hotel in Dublin and afterwards went to Buck Whaley's nightclub on Leeson Street.

He left there sometime between 2.30am and 3.25am and called into his workplace at the Bank of Ireland in Fitzwilliam Place at around 3.35am.

CCTV footage of the rear entrance of the building shows an unknown man talking to Mr Deely. This man has never been identified.

Mr Deely was last sighted on CCTV passing a Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road at 4.14am.

Approximately 30 seconds later a male was captured on CCTV walking in the same direction as Mr Deely.

Gardaí at Pearse Street are appealing for any information into Mr Deely’s disappearance. They say that even the smallest piece of information, which may seem insigificant, could help the investigation.

When last seen Mr Deely was wearing a mustard and brown checked shirt, beige/grey corduroy flared trousers, dark deck shoes with white stripes, a greed padded jacket and was carrying a dark blue umbrella with white ACC Bank lettering.

There was a taxi strike on the night he disappeared and the weather was very wet.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or Crimestoppers on 1800 250025.
