Go Safe, the company that operates the mobile roadside speed detection service for the Government, has reached a pay agreement with staff, following a protracted dispute.

The company said operators of the vans had voted by a clear majority to accept the proposals.

The agreement will run January 2020 to the end of 2022 and includes improvements in base rate pay, Sunday premium and bank holiday premium rates, as well as employer PRSA contributions, a bonus scheme and an additional day's leave after five years of service.

Some Go Safe operators had taken industrial action on a number of occasions recently as a result of the dispute.
