A six-year-old Co Meath boy will be reunited with his stolen wheelchair after a public appeal.
Janine and Rory Fitzgerald's car was stolen from their driveway in Ashbourne, with a custom made wheelchair, car seat and walking frame inside.
Their son Kyle has cerebral palsy and is in rehabilitation after having surgery on his spine earlier this month in America.
Gardaí had posted pictures of the missing equipment on Twitter.
Another social media post appealing for information about the wheelchair had also received widespread coverage.
Gardaí have thanked those who re-tweeted their appeal and say all the stolen property is on its way back to its rightful owner.
Great outcome thanks for re-tweeting. The car and all property has been recovered by Gardai and on its way back to its rightful owner. We would like to thank to public for theie assistance in this matter.— An Garda Síochána (@GardaTraffic) October 26, 2019
