A man who was seriously injured in an alleged assault in Tallaght at the weekend has died in hospital.
Vincent Parsons, 34, with an address in the Clondalkin area, was discovered with head injuries by passers-by in the Killinarden estate on Saturday night.
It is understood he was injured during an incident close to a pub in Killinarden, where he had been socialising.
Mr Parsons was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he died this evening.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information, particularly anyone who was in the vicinity of the pub in Killinarden on Saturday night between 10pm and 11pm, to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01-6666000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
