The Taoiseach has repeated the Government's commitment to cross-border initiatives during a visit to Derry this afternoon.
Mr Varadkar was speaking after visiting the Apprentice Boys of Derry museum and a community centre in Creggan.
The Taoiseach said his visit to Derry gave him the opportunity to meet members of the wider community.
He said it allowed him to hear their views on the political situation in Northern Ireland and the uncertainty being caused by Brexit.
Mr Varadkar said the Government was committed to increased investment in Northern Ireland infrastructure, including the A5 cross-border road project.
This evening, the Taoiseach attended a dinner for former SDLP leader Mark Durkan to honour his commitment to peace and reconciliation.
