Less than a week after an initial notice, additional batches of liquid egg white are being recalled due to Salmonella fears.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said further batches of french made Dr Zak's Barn Farmed Liquid Egg White are now implicated.
Last week, the FSAI announced a recall notice for the 970ml Dr Zak's packs with a best before date of 29/12/2018.
The extended recall now includes batches with best before dates of 12/12/2018 and 02/02/2019.
"The FSAI has been notified that Dr Zak's is recalling an additional batch (18163BN2A) of its barn farmed liquid egg white due to the detection of Salmonella. Dr Zak's is also recalling two further batches as a precautionary measure," the FSAI said.
The FSAI said point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores that sold the implicated batches.
