Taxi fare increases, which will add 30 cent to a standard €10 fare, come into force tomorrow.
The 3.22% increase was passed by the National Transport Authority because of increased costs in the industry over the past two years.
Jim Waldron of the National Private Hire and Taxi Association said drivers do not believe the increase is enough.
He pointed out that meters will have to recalibrated and officially sealed at an average cost of €161.
The last taxi fare increase was 4% and came into force in 2014.
