A 29-year-old man has appeared in Newcastle West District Court charged with the murder of his brother three days ago.
Gerard Lynch, with an address at Main Street, Pallaskenry, Co Limerick, was charged with the murder of his brother Willie Lynch at Pallaskenry on Saturday 30 December.
A solicitor was assigned to represent him and he was remanded in custody to appear in Limerick District Court next Tuesday.
Solicitor Michael O'Donnelly asked that any required medical assessment be given to Gerard Lynch while he is in custody.
