Pharmaceutical packaging company Wasdell has announced the creation of 300 jobs for Dundalk, Co Louth.
The UK-based firm is to build a 70,000sq.ft greenfield facility at IDA Ireland's site in Mullagharlin in the town.
The €30 million investment will see the 300 jobs created over five years and is supported by IDA Ireland.
The company makes clinical trials packing, primary and secondary packaging, and is also involved in the distribution of biopharmaceutical products.
The new jobs will include roles in general management, production manager and supervisors, laboratory, engineering and maintenance, production operatives, warehouse, finance and administration, health and safety and human resources.
Wasdell's managing director Martin Tedham said that due to the rate of growth the company was experiencing and the ongoing requirement to maintain capacity, a site in Ireland will be a means to facilitate this.
"We have always had a strong customer base in Ireland and we are certain that this trend will continue with the impending Brexit situation as companies typically from the UK and USA look to securing a base to service their European markets," Mr Tedham said.
IDA Ireland's Chief Executive Martin Shanahan said that the company will add to the growing cluster of life sciences companies in Ireland.
"The availability of this range of clinical and pharmaceutical services will increase the attractiveness of Ireland as an international base for early stage speciality biopharma companies. It also an ideal example of the type of Brexit linked opportunity IDA is working hard to secure," he added.
Meanwhile, site development services company Md7 is to add 40 jobs at its international headquarters in Dublin.
The company, which is supported here by IDA Ireland, has been serving the telecommunications industry since 2003.
Md7 has regional and field offices throughout the US and Europe that deliver the services needed to get telecommunications sites up and running.
