Gardaí are investigating damage caused to the M50 toll bridge in Dublin last night.
It is understood a man gained access to the toll gantry last night and the motorway was closed for a time to deal with the incident.
A 48-year-old man was arrested and appeared in court this morning.
The operators of the toll bridge, eFlow, said they are working to assess and repair any damage.
