One lucky ticket holder has scooped over €4.5m in tonight's Lotto draw.
The winning quick-pick ticket was sold at An Post, George's Street Upper, Dun Laoghaire, in Dublin.
The numbers drawn were: 2, 5, 12, 34, 41 and 47. The bonus number was 29.
The Lotto had been rolling over for three weeks and sales were reported to be brisk today ahead of the draw.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said there is no indication yet as to whether the ticket was bought by one person or by a syndicate.
Details are not expected until Monday morning. In the meantime, the spokesperson has advised people to check their tickets.
