An Irish citizen has died in Morocco, with local reports suggesting a woman, who was living in Taghazout, had died. 

The circumstances surrounding the death are not yet clear. 

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is aware of the case. 

It also said it stands ready to offer consular assistance if needed.
