Gardaí are appealing for information following a shooting incident in Greystones, Co Wicklow.
A number of shots were fired during the incident - which involved a number of males - at around 11am on the Farrankelly Road in Greystones.
Two shots struck the car of a passing motorist not involved in the incident, but none of the occupants in the car were injured.
It is understood those involved fled the scene on foot and by car.
No arrests have been made.
A technical and forensic examination of the car is under way.
Gardaí are appealing for information and are particularly appealing to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Farannkelly Road between 11am and 11.30am this morning to contact them at Bray Garda Station 01 6665300.
