Man dies following house fire in Donegal

A man in his 80s has been found dead after a house fire in Donegal.

The fire at the house in Dungloe was reported at around 2.30am this morning. 

Emergency services performed CPR on arrival, but the man - who was the only occupant in the house - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man has been named as Connie Boyle. His body was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination but the death is not being treated as suspicious. 

Gardaí have confirmed that the man in his 80s who died in a house fire in Dungloe, Donegal, is Connie Boyle.
