A Medical Council inquiry has found that a Louth GP failed to comply with conditions attached to him remaining on the register.
The three conditions were imposed on Dr James Cassidy during a previous inquiry in 2016 and these conditions were confirmed by the High Court.
One of those conditions was that he complete an alcohol awareness programme.
Dr Cassidy is a former Tyrone GAA team doctor.
The Dundalk GP had also committed to bring his continuing professional development obligations up to date and that he would meet a nominated person, on a regular basis for two years, to discuss his progress in compliance with all three conditions.
The misconduct findings related to a road traffic offence.
Dr Cassidy told the inquiry in 2016 that he failed to declare to the Council in May 2009 that he was convicted of drink driving in Northern Ireland.
Frank Beatty, Senior Counsel, for the Medical Council CEO, said the sanction which the committee comes to recommend should reflect the seriousness of the breach.
A decision on sanction will be made by the Medical Council at a later date.
Dr Cassidy was not represented at the inquiry today and was not in attendance.
