Jean is a Dublin woman who lost her home about two years ago because of addiction to heroin.

After squatting and sleeping rough in the capital, early this year, she and her partner approached a mobile health unit supported by Dublin Simon Community and other charities for help with his liver disease.

Jean and her partner detoxed in Simon's housing support services where they are now living in separate rooms and from which Jean hopes to attend Trinity College's Access Programme next month.

She talks to Social Affairs Correspondent Joe Little about her experience living in a city centre squat.
