RTÉ’s Cian McCormack caught up with some of the Independent candidates and the smaller parties as they made their closing pitches ahead of the General Election tomorrow.
He started the day in Tallaght with Paul Murphy of the Anti-Austerity Alliance-People Before Profit, before going on to talk to Renua leader Lucinda Creighton, Social Democrats’ co-leader Róisín Shortall and Independent candidate Maureen O’Sullivan.
According to Lucinda Creighton, while the message from the big parties seems to be that a vote for the smaller parties is almost a wasted vote, she claimed that "smaller parties have and can make a huge difference".
