Prospect of hung Dáil looms
An Ipsos MRBI opinion poll for The Irish Times suggests a drop in support for Labour and Sinn Féin, with Fianna Fáil and Independents improving their position. As the final week of Election 2016 campaigning kicks off, the latest poll figures would mean an indecisive result if replicated on polling day this Friday.
Casualties in the Group of Death
With five outgoing TDs and four seats up for grabs, Cork South-Central is one of Election 2016's 'Groups of Death'. One TD was always going to lose out but Kevin Doyle, Irish Independent Political Editor, tells RTÉ's Morning Ireland that according to a poll for the newspaper, two TDs will be disappointed.

In an interview on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams said that he has no responsibility to investigate the murder of Brian Stack and that that responsibility lies with the Garda.
"Whingers" and "baloney"
Simon Harris told RTÉ's Today With Séan O'Rourke that Taoiseach Enda Kenny's comments about "whingers" referred to local politics. He also said that it is "baloney" to say that there has not been a recovery, while Sinn Féin's Mary Lou McDonald said Mr Kenny's comments were "insulting".
