Three brought to hospital after chemical spill at Trinity College Dublin

Three people have been brought to hospital from Trinity College Dublin after a chemical spill at its Biomedical Sciences Institute.

The university said Dublin Fire Brigade and gardaí attended the scene at Dublin's Pearse Street after the spillage occurred at 11am this morning.

Emergency services have since left and Trinity said the situation is "under control".

The building was closed for environmental cleaning but is set to reopen this evening.

The three individuals were transferred to St James's Hospital.

They have since been discharged from hospital.
