The first round of this year's college offers will be made on Wednesday 28 August, the Central Applications Office (CAO) has said.
This follows news earlier this month that this year's Leaving Certificate results will be published on Friday 23 August.
In a statement announcing the schedule, Head of Communications for CAO Eileen Keleghan said: "The processing schedule for Round One offers cannot commence until CAO receives the Leaving Certificate examination results data from the State Examinations Commission (SEC)."
Ms Keleghan said the CAO and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) will "endeavour to complete the offer allocation process and issue offers in a similar timeframe to previous years, as soon as this data becomes available".
She added that the SEC had provided a results date and so, the "CAO and HEIs have built the schedule accordingly".
The organisation also reminded applicants that the late application deadline is tomorrow at 5pm.
It added that the change of mind facility, allowing applicants to add and change their course selection, opens on 7 May at noon and closes on 1 July.
Ms Keleghan advised applicants to "take note of this deadline and ensure to make any changes in a timely manner".
The CAO will send a Statement of Application email to applicants in May and this will contain instructions for applicants to check and modify any missing or incorrect information.
The CAO said offers will commence on 5 July with the issuing of Round A offers for mature applicants, mature nursing/midwifery applicants and deferred applicants alongside offers to some applicants who have completed an access course, or those who may be required to make visa arrangements.
Following this, Round 0 offers will be made on 8 August to additional mature applicants, deferred and access applicants, and graduate entry medicine applicants among other qualifications presenting for consideration for entry to courses.
Round one to five offers will be issued between 28 August to 1 October.
