Six people arrested after drugs worth nearly €300k seized

A man and a woman in their 40s have been arrested after almost €200,000 worth of controlled drugs were seized in Dublin yesterday.

Searches of a residential premises were carried out in the Dublin 8 area as part of Operation Tara.

Around €175,000 worth of suspected alprazolam tablets and €23,000 worth of suspected cannabis were seized.

A man and a woman were arrested and are being held at garda stations in Dublin.

Seperately, crack cocaine, diamorphine, cannabis and alprazolam tablets were seized in Finglas yesterday.

The drugs, worth around €97,000 were found during the course of a search under warrant, along with cash and six mobile phones.

Two men and two women, all in their 40s, were arrested and are being held at a garda station in west Dublin.
