A woman in her 30s has been charged in connection with an alleged assault in Clondalkin in Dublin yesterday.
She is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow.
A man in his 50s is in a critical condition in hospital following an incident on Lealand Road in Clondalkin at around 8am yesterday.
The man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where his condition was described as critical.
The woman was being detained at a garda station in the Dublin region.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them.
Anyone who was in the area of Lealand Road between 7.30am and 8.30am, and who may have any information about the incident, or dash cam footage, is asked to contact investigating gardaí.
