A man aged in his 50s is in a critical condition in hospital following an alleged assault in Dublin this morning.
A woman aged in her 30s was arrested following the incident on Lealand Road in Clondalkin at around 8am.
The man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where his condition has been described as critical.
The woman is being detained at a garda station in the Dublin region.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them.
Anyone who was in the area of Lealand Road between 7.30am and 8.30am, and who may have any information about the incident, or dash cam footage, is asked to contact investigating gardaí.
