Gardaí have arrested a man after seizing cannabis worth €730,000 following searches in Dublin yesterday.
As part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Revenue Customs Service, a van was stopped in Tallaght and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €700,000 was seized.
In a follow-up search, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €30,000 was recovered.
A man in his 30s was arrested and is being detained for questioning at a garda station in the Dublin region.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
