A woman in her 60s has died after she was hit by a truck in Swords, Co Dublin.
The incident occurred shortly before 12.30pm at the junction of Church Road and Bridge Street.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and said they would like to speak to the driver of a silver hatchback car that was not involved in the collision, but was travelling behind the truck at the time along Church Road before turning left onto the Rathbeale Road travelling away from Swords.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) - and were travelling in the area of Church Road and Bridge Street between 12.10pm and 12.40pm are also asked to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
