Man, 30s, struck by bus on O'Connell Street in Dublin

A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after he was struck by a bus on O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

It happened at about 12.15pm on the southbound side of the street.

The man was brought to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The southbound lane of O'Connell Street was closed for a time earlier but has since reopened.

Traffic delays in the area have eased and public transport services are operating as normal.
